I installed a new battery in 1995 Tracker MAGNA 17 DC and now no accessories work

My 1995 Tracker MAGNA 17 DC sat idol for over year and now I am trying to get it ready to take out. The starting battery was dead, so I bough a new one and installed it. Some where in between the battery and the fuse box, I loose voltage. I can measure only .5 volts at the fuse box. I am have trouble figuring out how the wiring is set up. Anyone have any Tracker wiring diagrams? The gauges and panel work, but not the bilge pump, bait tank pump, running lights or flip up lights. Please help.

Start off by cleaning all connections and pay close attention to the ground side. A connection may look good but on closer inspection you could find corrosion. Do you have a battery switch?

All the connections were cleaned when I installed the battery which has dual posts. The voltage coming off the posts into the feed wires is 12.5v I will double check them tomorrow. I do not have a battery switch. The boat has a separate trolling motor circuit, so it has dual batteries.

More than likely their is a wire at the battery that isn't hooked up that runs to the accessory panel.

sounds about right especially as there may be more than one wire on the negative terminal. also check the breakers near the seat as one might have popped.

If there is a fuse on the positive lead to the fuse panel (there should be; add one or a circuit breaker if there isn't)check the fuse holder for corrosion or weak spring (if it's a tubular glass fuse).

The new battery does not possess any sort of self determination. It will feed power to any device connected to it. If you put in a new battery, and some device is not being fed power from the new battery, the fault is not in the new battery. Your problem is in the power distribution wiring.
