I just found this forum, I got this Glastron v156 to restore

I have started tearing out the floor to do a full restore of her.

Can anyone help me in identifying the year?

Hi Spectrabrite,
Have a look at on the right corner on the stern below the rub rail if you can find the HIN code (see circle), It starts with GLA and the last two digits are the year.....( 74?? )

I was gifted a Mercury 650, 65hp outboard motor with all the controls that has good compression!

May try to get it going this weekend to test it out after looking it over.

Any one know if power tilt/trim be added onto this older mercury outboard?

Using the markings on the back it is a 1974 Glastron V156.

Got the engine to turn over and doing a compression test soon.

Striped and deck out of the hull and ground down a lot. need to do some replacing and glassing before I get to lay the new floor.
