I know it is not normal but is this a sign of any kind of problem

When I turn my key on my tach very slowly creeps up to 1000 rpms. That is without the motor running. I know in the past turning the keyswitch on would zero out the tach. Is this creeping tach a sign of a potential problem? Maybe a short somewhere or is it nothing to worry about?

Rectifier could be bleeding a voltage thru the sending wire, disconnect grey wire from either at tach or at rectifer....
