I need a "Better" seat...

I have a nearly-new (2014) 175 Lowe WT. The 2 seats behind the windshield are your "better than average" high-back folding seats. Here's the issue. When my wife goes with me, by the end of the trip, her back is sore from the ride. I'm looking for a pedestal mounted seat, maybe taller than you average high back , but one that doesn't have the "give" to it that the factory ones do. Maybe this is what you get from pedestal mounted seats? This is my first boat without floor mounted (jump-style) seats.
Any suggestions on where to start? Any built better (stiffer frame) than another?
thanks.

Actually sounds like she may be leaning forward when sitting instead of leaning back into the seat. The usual high-back boat seat usually only goes up to a person's neck for support. I have never seen anything higher, but that doesn't mean there isn't either. You could always install a head headrest from a vehicle to see if that would work. IDK just an idea :noidea:

Either slow down when the woman is with you so you don't pound into the waves OR go to the junk yard and buy an automobile bucket seat. These are not weatherproof though so you will definitely need to cover them when not in use.

There are a number of companies that build boat seats with spring cushions in the pedastall so soften the ride in rough water. This may be what she needs. do a search and you should find a few of them.
