I have a 1987 Three Buoys houseboat and I want to add a deck drain to the rear deck. Currently I have two drains that discharge through a thru-hull fitting in my aluminum hull. The original Volvo engine was replaced with a larger Mercruiser engine and I believe that is the reason that the current location is a little forward of where it needs to be. Water is pooling at the very back of the deck and it probably didn't before the engine replacement.

So, I'm looking for a fitting that will mount flush with the deck. I'll then add a hose underneath and use another thru-hull fitting for discharge. Can anyone point me to a good source?

Thanks,

Re: I need a boat deck drain fitting

i just looked at some of iboats stock....you might wanna re check.....but i didnt really find a good drain cover i liked.

the shower drain keeps popping into my head......just a straight hole thru to the water....then epoxy the edges of the wood deck.
shower drain on top !

when i built the house boat i just finished......i sprayed water on all the decks....looked for pooling.....then built up any areas with glass.
then primed and painted the decks......but that was a full rebuild/re fit.
