I need a new prop any suggestions?

[my new fishmaster]

My engine is a 96 75hp force 3cyl 1carb with the smaller size prop around 10 inches or so. My current pitch is 17 and I am not getting on plane with my 96 17ft fishmaster alum starcraft boat 1000lbs/engine 240/500lb people/200 seats. Thats 1940lbs at full throttle is getting 3500-3750 rpms and not quite getting on plane. Average speed is 17 I have gone 25mph with minus the 1 person on board. Any good places to purchase a new prop and brands I should buy and which pitch should I get.

Howdy, Fishmaster. Try a 15" prop. If you can't get at least 5000 rpm try a 13". The correct prop for your load and boat should allow your engine to reach 5000-5500rpm at WOT.<br /><br />Good luck.<br />Red sky at night. . . <br />JB

If you don't have one I would toss a hydrofoil on the back of your engine, could make a ton of difference for you. I too agree with re propping as well.

I purchased a hustler 13pitch its kinda small around 10-11 inches. Hope its a good brand

i also bought a hustler 10 1/8 X 15 prop from i boats good price it's for on my 96 force 75hp haven't tried it yet
