I need advice

I bought my first boat 2-3 months ago and everything is good. It has a 1978 evinrude 115hp. It runs really good. Now one of my friends has a 1983 evinrude 90hp. This is the model number: E90TLETS. He is going to give it to me and my question is: how many of those parts are compatable with my motor. Sorry but i'm a newbie with boat stuff.

You might want to sit down and go through the parts breakdown for both engines and check some part numbers and see if they are the same.

Go to shop.evinrude.com. and look up the mtrs and compare part numbers.
