I'm selling this boat but I have no idea what it's worth. Also I'm getting offers for just the motor- I have no idea what that is worth alone. Any suggestions? Thanks -
14 foot 1969 Larson fishing boat.
powered by a 2000 4 stroke mercury merc 9.9 hp motor.
Humming bird fish finder, pioneer cd player with great sounding speakers, bilge pump, trolling motor, and a great battery.
All of the electronics are controlled by the switches on the dash. The carpet and floor are in good shape. Pics below

Because of the age and size of the boat, you will do much better selling the engine and stereo system separately. Look on Ebay to see what 9.9 four strokes are selling at. Same with the fishfinder and stereo. Then, a couple of hundred or three for the boat and trailer. Eventually, someone will buy it.

I would only sell as a package. Motor has to be worth $1000 to $1250? Boat and trailer without motor $250-$300?

What kind of offers for the motor?

As a package, clean, well kept, upgraded seats, matched trailer, turn key package.

All you have to do is add water. Compared to the old junk out there it has to be worth $2000.

Throw it out there at $2500 and see what happens.

Anybody's estimate, including mine, is worthless, because we are not
willing to buy it for the estimated amount.

Whatever somebody is willing to buy it for is what is worth, and the only
way to find out what that price is, is to list it for sale and see what happens.

Look in your local newspaper and see what similar stuff is going for.

It's worth a whole lot more to someone who really want's it.

The problem is small closed bow runabouts aren't particularly desirable. There's a reason no one has made on in a very long time. They are particularly poor fishing boats (I know, I had one). That's why people are only really interested in the motor. I think you've got a real conundrum because the boat is going to be near worthless without a motor but there's going to be lots of people interested in that motor that won't want the boat.

I also have a 5.5 hp 1976 evinrude. Perhaps I will put that on the boat and sell the motor separate.
