I Need Magnets!!

The more I think about it, the more I think using magnets to keep my bow seat cushions, and bow compartment kick panels in place, is the right idea. So I need magnets that are ideally made for this application. Magnets that come inside brackets of some kind. Brackets that have screw holes so I can attach them to wood. Any ideas for any magnetic product like this?

Magnets strong enough to work will be expensive - I used them alot in manufacturing.

Velcro - on the other hand mught be a better solution - they make extremely strong types.

I dunno, right now these seat cushions are just sitting over the compartments they double as a door for, and they rarely fall off now. I can't imagine it would take much magnetic force to hold them in place.

That said, I do have a ton of old hard drives I could salvage rare earth magnets from, I know those would hold very well. But that leads to another question. I also want to stick a compass on my dash, how far away from any magnets would that compass have to be, to be unaffected? Magnets acting as latches, and also magnets in speakers?

Not sure about the compass - try it now....if you do it with magnets post your results!

Bunting magnetics in Newton Kansas might be worth a call. They make all kinds of magnets.
