has anybody have thought of or done the idea of using an outboard and inboard or sterndrive motor with it? 2 outboards? 1 inboard?

Re: i/o and outboard together?

are you suggesting one power supply and two out drives.

inboard type engine, to a transfer case, with 2 outputs. it could be done, but expensive engineering. then you would have double the bellows, gimbal bearings, etc, thru the transom.

Someon ehad though of everyhting but when they saw how much it woud cost and how comples it would be they probably changed there mind.

If you have the money and the time you can do anything, my question would be why, there really isn't a reason to do both, I just don't see any benifit of having an I/O and an outboard.

Re: i/o and outboard together?

yeah, i know it would be senseless.

my thoughts were to have a inboard with a stern drive hanging out through the middle with two outboards on both sides or just an inboard and an outboard inline with the inboard. both putting out the same HP at the prop.
