I own 3 Mercs and need to know

I have three actually four outboards that are starting to give me some problems. 3 of them are Mercs and one is a johnson. My question is before I lay down $140.00 for the manuals in some of your experts opinion which of the manuals are better, Seloc or Clymer manuals. I am very mechanically inclined but need to know more of the specifics on the motors. Thanks for a great site folks and keep up the good work.<br /> Dirk (aka1FASTLASER)

I prefer the Seloc, but it has it's flaws as far as easiness to follow... But it's my choice...

Don't forget about the factory shop manuals..they are the absolute best!

merc amnuals can be found free , online , if you look hard enough. think of a "big hammer" and you will find them.<br /><br />if you want general help, then seloc or clymer will do. both have their pros and cons<br /><br />but if you want EXACT , then get the official service manuals from the dealer
