I removed the shift pivot screw, now what?

Like said not thinking I removed loosened the shift pivot screw, not removing it from the housing, thinking it was a drain. Now the unit will shift into forward but sounds rough and will not shift into reverse. How do I get it back working and what exactly does this wrk? Thanks

do you have neutral and forward and just no reverse?


You did or did not remove the screw? if you did remove it you have some work to do... you can try this trick if you did remove it https://forums.iboats.com/forum/engi...gear-shift-arm

If you moved anything after removing the screw???
Then you'll need to dismantle the drive and put the shift yoke back in place.

Not a real hard job but not fun either.

Fill out the signature and tell us where your located??
