I think i fried somthing no spark help please

50 hp force 1988 D ignition ok i got the motor had no controls got conitroles used from local marina hooked it up wrong hooked dash power to a hot positive started moter by hand the starter wouldnt engage ran great but not pissing good shut of replaced impeller also choke wouldnt work push key style pulled starter cleand starter working better then went to check for better water now no spark i went through steps of wireing fixed all bad conecterschecked grounds so what now did i fry stator or cd pack from to much power maybe could the ignition be bad please help im lost and frustrated ty in advance

Update i pulled flywheel (three bolt harmonic balancer puller with some bolts from hardware) to check stator magnite it was good no visual signe of burnt stator or trigger /wires i dont wanna throw parts at this i cant afford it so anyone some help please

outboardignition.com - if you look up your stator there it will tell you how to test it - my stator fried last year and it didn't have any indication that is was bad by looking at it - but it had no resistance on the wires. So you need to test it to be sure.
