It's free for the taking, needs a lot of work but it's a 50's Finned boat and from the looks of Scottie-craft production, I can't hardly find anything on them and I have spent about 6 hours looking for a SC finned boat and nothing comes up. Not only does it have the curved windshield like most do for that era, but it's got vent wings attached to the sides of the windshield also. Never seen that before. Seating arrangement is like Starcrafts of that time period with the fiberglass dividers for the front two seats.
It's just around the corner from my house probably 1 mile so hauling it home isn't going to be a big deal. Thinking about making a cradle to mount on my utility trailer and strap it down to it. But first I'll need to take my chain saw down there and prep to load it. It's got a 12 ft. pine tree growing between the 2 front seats since there's so much dirt and leaves piled on the floor.

I'll probably stop by the guy's house this week and let him know that next weekend I'll swing by and load it up. May not be able to start working on it for 2 yrs or so, but at least it won't be getting cut up and hauled to the land fill.
When I get it home I'll post up some photos of it maybe someone knows what model the Scottie-craft is.

Please, please, please... take a picture of that tree in the boat before cutting it down.

You absolutely can not afford to pass up that photo op.

My personal experience was with an 18 foot plywood Scottie-Craft cruiser, no fins! The link below will get you to the Fiberglassics library that has some specification data for fiberglass Scotties. Good luck with that great old boat.

NMShooter.....I'll try to take the camera down there with me and get a photo or two of the tree in it.

Willyclay.... I've looked at that link, it sure doesn't have many photos of Scottie's. From the list it has to be a Corsair but without photos of the two models, it's hard to determine just which one this boat would be. It's a ugly butterscotch color (the whole boat).
After the recent rains the last 2 days, I'll probably have to jack the front of the boat up and let it drain for a few days before attempting to move it.

I say leave the tree in it and save it for Christmas. You said you wouldn't be able to start on it this year anyways right? :D
