Some of you may remember a posting last fall titled "Roamer resto by a 21 year old"
where I purchased a 31' Roamer and began restoring it but before I got very far the boat burned while having the bottom repaired in the welders shop. After the very disappointing loss of the boat I redid some more modern style boats but I felt like they never had the same appeal as the Roamer did. Call it what you want but I recently came across an identicle 1961 Roamer 31' in very similar shape that I could pick up so I think i'm going to go ahead and do it. This time around I know a really good welder body guy and am probably more capable of redoing the boat. SO hear we go...

I'll get some pictures this week, I know a guy who owns a transport company and hes gonna pick her up next week and get her to a yard so I can begin some kind of work. I'll probably have to start on the hull first and go from there. Cabin seems solid eveywhere, unfortantly it has a wooden superstructure but the window frames seem solid everywhere.

Any links to your other rebuilds?

I have my eye on a boat in need of a rebuilt/restore. Older Chris Craft as well.

25thmustang this is my first rebuild on a old Chris, I do mostly small bowriders and some bigger cabin cruisers. You cant beat the style of an older Chris Craft...what do you have your eye on?

He had the CAJONES to post a Starcraft resto in our lil corner of this site..Some nonsense about the FASTEST Starcraft resto by the fourth of July...No pics, lots of posts that he was working sooo hard..all BS too..

actually there is a listing for that company on uship as a member since 1-12-11 with ZERO activity. SO i had to request a quote to ship a 1961 31ft Roamer from Racine WI to Jacksonville, FL.

EDIT: i even put a picture the boat on the listing, the same one he used here. I wonder if i will get a response
