i think it overheating

the thermostat area gets to about 60 celc. then the thermostat opens up and the temp there goes back down to about 50. but the cylinder areas are reaching about 190 farenheight. is that normal?

sounds normal to me, thermostat on that engine is supposed to open at 136-144 fahrenheit (60 C). if you are shooting with a temp gun... if you hit the right spot you will find somewhat higher temps
