I want more HP from my Merc!

Hey,
I have a Merc 3L, four cylinder with 90 hrs on her. What is the best way to gain some extra HP? Has anyone here "suped" up there Merc?
In the end im looking for some more top end speed!

You may be able to reprop but you will lose bottom end torque. If you want to go faster buy another boat with a bigger engine. There isn't much of an aftermarket performance parts out there for a 3.0 that are worth a damn...

Bigger engine and higher gears in the drive or leave the family at home.

Trade it in for something with a V8. Might be cheaper than trying to make power with the 3L or swapping in a 4.3 or 5.7.

hey jtmarten! I was looking at the Wellcraft in your pics...very cool boat! I have always liked there boats! Could you post some more of it and tell a bit about it?
