I want to just change the carb on my rude 25

How much more will i get if i just put the 35hp carb on my 25, without changing anything else. Is this possible, i dont care if it only changes it to a 28 or a 26, i just wanted to try it.<br /><br />Mike

Well you might get a little, because a bigger carb means bigger jets, means more fuel and air. You probably wont notice any difference though.

I don't think it works that way. You can give it all the fuel you want. If you can't burn it all it will only slow you down and reduce the power factor. Too rich and you can't obtain full RPM.<br /><br />Ever race or run gas powered cars? There 2 stroke. I raced them for many years. Won alot of trophies. If you don't get the mix set right it won't wind up. If anything, you will get more power leaning it out, until the moment when you burn up the pistons.

This is very true, but the size of the throat of the other carb should be bigger, thus allowing more air in also. I also raced 2 stroke dirtbikes and won lots of trophies, and when I got my RM250 the first thing that I did was take the stock Kehin (sp?) carb off and replaced it with a bigger Mikuni.<br /><br />Anyhoo, go ahead and try it and let us know.

True, but you changed your exhaust to accomodate your carbs breathing better. <br /><br />I would like to know how this turns out. <br /><br />You watch, he is gonna say it out runs a 50hp. lol

If you have the carb knock yourself out.I dont <br />think it will work but what the heck.You can all ways say I told you so if it does.<br />Depending on what year it is the 30 or 35<br /> may be a comepletely different displacement.
