I am trying to find the feet to attach a tower to my old Galaxie Runabout. I am not having any luck whatsoever  I only have $1500 into the boat and I have enough friends that bend tube and weld to just need the mounting feet. If any one has done this please let me know where you got them...

Tnanks,
Al...

You can buy the feet (somewhere....I have seen them before, maybe I can't remember... One cheep way (esp. if you are not worried about removing it) is how a buddy of mine did it. Stack (well screw together)2 2x4 blocks and drill a hole (the size of the tubing) thru one. Use this setup as your "feet". You can screw it down to the deck (or he was able to get away without securing it to the deck, and it was totally removeable in 5 minutes) and use ft. and rear tie downs on the corners of it. He also took and made it from 2 pieces of tubing that slide into each other (and drilled it so you could pick the width and secured it with a clevis pin). Made it easy to sell when his boat burned (garage fire totaled the boat). Sorry if I had some I'd send you a drawing but they are ashes too now, but it was a SIMPLE (actually super easy) project.

Granger supply catalog has clevis and pin feet. I think they are aluminum. I made my own using 3/16" steel and 3/8 pins.

Email me at arlan@okpotter.com and I will e-mail you a picture.
