Hi All I have a 1983 bayliner contessa 2850 sunbridge. What do you guys think she is worth. Here what she has Twin V6 with Volvo Penta 280 Outdrives.

Full Canvas
Fresh Water Wash-down
Stereo/CD Player
Flat-screen tv
Lumar Windless
Full head/water works
Functioning refridgerator
Furuno 1721 Mark 2 Radar
Uniden UM525 VHF Radio
Xantera 3000 Watt Inverter
2 Down-riggers
3 extra props and a 4th that has been spun I think it can be fixed
A spare set of heads.
1998 Triple axle Majic Tilt Trailer
pictures can be found in this tread

Should I pull the radar and windless off and sell separate?

Yes pull ALL the stuff off and re-use or sell separate.

Well I hope I am not insulting but am thinking around $6K-$10K.

I have no facts to support, but my narrow-minded opinion is to not buy a cruiser over 20 years old. There are just so many "systems" on a cruiser as compared to a fish-n-ski or bowrider. I have a 1994 Bayliner 3055 that I'd put up against a well kept 2001 model.

That said, I won't keep her past 2014.
Sorry if my opinion sucks, but you did ask in an open public forum. ;)

Yeah, unfortunately the market for older used cruisers is real crappy right now. I'd also sell the trailer seperately - should fetch a nice price as many don't have one for their cruisers and may need one now.

25+ year old bayliner cruiser... $10K sounds close. Seems crazy if in VG working order wit twins and good drives, but that's all they sell for.

I am good with that, I shall pull all of the goodies off, less the down riggers I dont want to patch too many holes.

My opinion (and that's all it is)... Problems are 1) it's late in the season 3) it's a Bayliner from the early 80's 3) salt water boat 4) semi-rough condition based on pictures and 5) market is soft.

Your target buyer is moving up from a dayboat, and either uneducated about boats in general or looking for a project. Right now, only the cleanest and best maintained vessels, with full equipment in working order, are selling... and then only at very low prices. That said, boats ARE selling and you may get lucky. It only takes ONE buyer !!!

Full package - ask $10k as a starting point. Take $8k if offered. In my opinion, this is the way to go.

Boat only, stripped of any valuable equipment - $6k but with no trailer and lots of holes where stuff used to go, this will further limit your target buyer population.

Equipment - too much to list here but I'd guess you might sell half of it and end up with $1k. Nobody will want the rest. Wasted effort.

Trailer - Hard to say. Maybe start at $1.5K? Again, may be tough to find buyer.

You should plan to hold it over the winter and sell come spring if at all possible. Better market then?

That is the thought I had, I have a place to keep it that cost me nothing and is not at my house so I can keep the wife happy. The boat I traded her for I was asking 6k, anything over that is gravy. The key to the trade was it got me out of the slip fee.

And focus your efforts on making it CLEAN AND SHINY.

Must also start and run flawlessly. Major systems - engines, drives, steering, shifting\throttle, electical stuff must be perfect or it won't sell. Keep all receipts.
