Thinking about buying a used 2002 Wellcraft Excaliber 190 and installing a wakeboard tower, any feedback would be greatly appreciated...Jimmy

I would like to know if there is a minimum boat length/size suggested to install a wake boarding tower. I have looked at a boat locally(2002 wellcraft excalibur 190 with a 4.3 merc) and would buy it if it is suitable for wake boarding with a tower ?

Based on the name, I'm assuming this is a 19 ft. bowrider. That combined with a 4.3 V6 should be just fine for wakeboarding and adding a tower. You won't be getting the massive wake that a $80,000 wake boat would give you, but hey, not many of us can afford that. And if you're not a pro, you really don't need that to get out there and have a good time anyway. You would have plenty of options for towers out there. Some of the main brands that people go with are Monster, DIY and Aerial. Just shop around and find what works best for your needs. Good luck.

That boat should do just fine. I actually saw a 260 Excalliber this weekend and I was in awe of how nice it was. So if the 190 retains any of the features of the 260 than I'd say jump on it.
