Hi everyone. Sorry about being down for as long as we were. We did not expect to be down for more than 20-30 minutes. As you can see the boards are pretty much the same with just a few new cool features such as allowing you to preview a post before making it go live.

If you do not want people to see where you have been in the new Recent Visits feature, just click on the my profile link above and then on "View/Update Profile" and then in the "Your Preferences" section at the bottom click on Yes for "Hide from Recent Visitors feature?"

As always, thanks to everyone who contribute so much to these boards! Have a very nice Easter weekend everyone.

First I thought NO! WHY? Then I thought it is okay. I'm a member. I visit this this forum a lot. So why not. Sometimes i wonder who else is here often. Now we can see that. I think it's cool. Don't turn them off.

You have a nice Easter weekend too!

Thanks
/Bear

Re: iboats.com Message Boards Upgrades

Hi Admin5

The new upgrades to the board certainly made me stop and think a while. As a registered user, the visiting public will now be able to see what I'm looking at and where I am on the board... It does take a while to get your head around in terms of the loss of privacy - but then it does make the board more interesting to know who's around and who's read a particular post.

Because I think it adds value to the board, I've chosen not to "hide" from this feature. I hope others will take a positive view to it also.

I think it's one of the laws of I.T. that upgrades ALWAYS take longer than expected. Even more so if you're under pressure to be quick...

Happy Easter to you too!

P.S. The addition of a spell checker would be a cool feature!

Ahoy, Admin5. I like the new and improved features.

If I wanted to hide from anybody I wouldn't use my real name, now would I? ;)

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)

Hey Admin 5,

Got a question for you: When I move the mouse pointer over the "edit" icon above my posts, the little tool tip displays "edit/delete post". If I accidently double-post, how do I delete the second post???

Thanks,
-John

John
You can't delete the second post, but you can use the edit function and delete all the text. The post will still appear......but it'll be ;) empty.
