iboats.com today announced the hiring of boating industry veteran, Ben Rowell, as Senior Vice President Business Development. Rowell's 30 years of sales, marketing and management experience within the boating industry further solidifies iboats' position as the premiere company in the industry focused on building marine retailers' sales and profits online.

Prior to iboats.com, Rowell was General Manager of the Q Lube Marine Services subsidiary of Penzoil-Quaker State Company, where he built the company's mobile marine oil change and maintenance business from the ground up. Prior to his role with Q Lube, Rowell was the Product/Marketing Director for Mercury Marine's Quicksilver Division where he led the marketing of marine accessory, service parts and inflatable boat lines, totaling over $300 million in annual sales.


Rowell's academic training comes from the American Graduate School of International Management and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
