I wanted to order some VP parts through VPs website and low and behold it forwards you to Iboats. Looked up the parts I wanted to order, nothing to crazy.
1 Breaker (Points) 243799 11.25
1 Condenser 841262 23.12
1 Repair Kit 273521 13.20
Subtotal: $47.57
Tax: $?
Fill in shipping postal code for shipping and total Shipping: $10.59
Total: $58.16
Problem is, it gives you an ETA for the parts when you choose shipping.
UPS Ground is $10.59 ETA 12 days
UPS 3 day $14.92 ETA 12 days
UPS 2 day $18.72 ETA 11 days
UPS Next day air saver $40.04 ETA 8 days
UPS Next day air $43.51 ETA 8 days
So what the heck is up with that???
First shipping is way to high for something that weighs all of 1 pound. Priority mail is usually 3 days at 5 bucks flat. Is the only way to order from VP direct to order through iboats? Shipping rates and times are very, very, weak here. I called iboats directly and they couldn't lockdown a time for me. Do any of the mods know of a better way to get a realistic ETA on this stuff, or am I better off seeing if a local dealer will ship me the parts. (closest dealer is 1 1/2 hours each way drive time... not worth the trip for 50 bucks worth of stuff).
Help!!
