Hi I'm going to be looking at a motor to replace my blown Suzuki this week. I don't want to get burned again. (yes I did a compression test on the suzuki)

What would a normal compression reading be on a 1995 90hp Yamaha? Anything else I can look for before buying? I'm not familer with Yamaha's. I'm hoping this will be the engine to last me!

thanks guys

Depending on the guage and the technique one healthy cylinder could read anywhere from about 90 to 150psi, eb.

What is important is how close they all are to each other. A span of 10psi or less would be ideal.
