Hi I am just trying to get some ideas on what I could do for decking in my 14' aluminum boat. Now I understand that in doing so can cause the boat to be unbalanced, however like I said I just want ideas until I can decide on something that would work.

I have seen some ideas with others' aluminum boats. One that I considered is to create some decking sections for in between each seat. I would need them as low down to the aluminum bottom as I can, as it is a shallow boat. Just as long as I have a flat surface it would be fine.

I have also thought about adding a casting deck in my aluminum boat, and I am already expecting to get feedback saying how unstable the boat may be as a result. But it's just a thought!

Something I just thought of now would be even just to take out the 4th seat up front and fabricate a section of decking for the bow area in front of the 3rd seat. If I did that, I could then get an elevated seat pedestal to sit up higher in front as I may not be able to have the bow decking section up very high, unless I could design an elevated support underneath.

My ideas may be a little difficult to understand,so I can draw up some plans tomorrow and have them on here when the time is available. Please give me any feedback on these ideas, whether they are positive/negative. And feel free to suggest any alternatives as well.

Thanks

Edit: I have my motor and trolling motor along with the gas tank and other misc. things in my boat right now, these are just pictures from when I first bought this boat about a month ago.
