Ideas for Mounting Fish Rule

Now that I have a "prettier" boat and dont want to stick this 35 inch saltwater fish rule sticker on the side of my new boat... what are some "portable" methods of mounting this thing to something? Ideas ??

Some kind of fish shaped board maybe, or something creative that wont look stupid that I can put away when not in use, but whip out when I catch something. Include some PICS if you can... I am a visual person.

Net handle? Gaff handle? Paddle shaft? Just get a yardstick?

I use a 48" "fiberglass" ruler from ACE hardware. It's water proof and it lays done in the gunnel between uses
