ideas?????

i bought a boat with a tall transom and a short shaft motor before i knew such things were bad now i need to fix it i dont have $$$ to buy a new out board or pay 700 for a jackplate i dont really want to cut transom down unless i have to any ideas on how to fix this for cheap

700. for a jackplate I have a manual CMC jackplate 235. new
