Hi David!<br />10424 Evinrude 1974 9.9HP<br />The mix is 50 to 1. This means 50 parts of unleaded gas to 1 part of TWC-2 or 3 outboard motor oil. <br /><br />Check this, print and save:<br /> All you need to know <br /><br />

Evinrude and Johnson are idendical exept name and colour.<br />Johnson model numbers 1974:<br />10E74-10EL74 or 10R74-10RL74 <br />So don't be <br /><br />

Greetings again, and thanks Bear member #829 for the quick and very helpful response.<br /><br />Someone told me that I can upgrade this motor to 15HP by simply changing the carby! This sounds too good to be true. Have you ever heard of this?<br /><br />Best regards,<br /><br />David

Thanks Bear, for refering my article on the 9.9/15 OMC's that I did as webmaster for PSA on to those in need. <br /><br />If you have not looked at it lately, I have updated it with more info & have started on the lower unit rebuild also.
