I have a new gear housing stamped 317903 which has been in my shed for a long time.

It is the same shape as the 1973-1976 85,115 and 135 lower units, but smaller.

Could someone identify the motor that this goes to?

Thanks

To John from Illinois:

Thanks you very much for looking that up. If you can use it, I'll ship it, to you only, for the shipping costs.

Looking it up was no problem at all, glad I could help.

Thanks for the offer, but I have no immediate use for a housing of that vintage.

-John

Re: Identify Gear Housing

I'd be interested in buying the gear housing. I'm working on one that is cracked. It's been welded very well, but a new one would be good insurance. Let me know the price.
Thanks.
