small outboard with only marking TOB-550 on side of mount plate, can anyone help identify manufacturer, someone painted whole thing in camo Thanks

robby,<br /> I'm not positive but you could have a Tomos outboard there.Maybe a 5.5 hp.Pronounced(toe-mos).My uncle has one.I'll check it and get back.

Thanks Reel Appeal, I have not taken it to a Marine Service center yet because I have no background, but after searching that brand on the internet things aren't looking good for parts etc. It has great compression and everything seems to look in great shape, I was leary on trying to start it, any info would be appreciated<br />Thanks

If it is a Tomos, if you really want to fix it and if there is no parts available in US...<br />Then you can try Marinshopen in Sweden for parts, if they are willing to do business abroad. I think so.<br />Mabybe it isn't worth it.<br /><br />Anyway, the E-mail adress is info@marinshopen.se
