Identify needed trim motor????

I was wondering if any of the experts here could identify what trim motor would be needed from the picture of the rest of the trim unit? And possibly get me some number to cross reference/search for? I'm trying to find a trim assembly and have found the following unit minus motor. But if this takes a terribly expensive or hard to find motor, then I don't wish to get involved with it... Only description is that it's off a "Black Max"...big help, right?

Many thanks.

Re: Identify needed trim motor????

There are a few different PTT Models. I would start on the '93 Merc 150V6 model on CrowleyMarine, com exploded parts diagrams and work toward older 150HPV6 models. I will guess that PTT is between '88-'92 vintage. The resvoir shape will distinguish the different models.

You will then be able to find an ARCO PTT motor that fits that unit.

That a Type I 3 ram using the 99186T motor. Arco and API makes a kit to replace it but MES is a direct bolt on.

Re: Identify needed trim motor????

Thanks for the replies guys. It doesn't look like I can source that motor extremely cheaply. And by that I mean under $100. But I think I've got a complete unit including motor lined up now... Hopefully everything will work...

Thanks again,
Tim
