While taking off the gear housing on my 2005 Alpha 1 Generation II to install new impeller this piece came out. Can't find where it goes, what it is, or even a pic of it in the manual. Can anyone identify what it is and where it goes? Thanks much!
Not sure what it is on your engine, but I have such a part on my OB. It is listed as an exhaust port baffle. Mine goes in the lower mid section exhaust outlet with three bolts...

There are some differencies depending on installation so you will need to verify that this is the correct one. They usually falls down when the engines overheats or they get (very) old.

Thanks for the input fella's...figured it had to be from something and just didn't appear...looked at the dry joint exhaust manual and found it...learned a valuable lesson acquiring this boat...14 hours on the motor doesn't mean it's a good deal...lol...gotta laugh about it...crying doesn't seem to help...lol
