Identify Super Seahorse, RKL 26R

I bought a boat and motor and am trying to identify both. The model #rkl 26r and serial is J2483953. Any help greatly appreciated. I am pretty sure its 40 hp. I bought the boat, motor, and trailer for 450, the motor runs like a top. In the boat I have to put in carpet, seats, and throttle cable. RK-26 is the 1964 Johnson 40HP:

Thank you very much, I guess I need a pre 79 cable then. I wonder if this engine is original to this boat. 1965 Starcraft closed bow runabout 16 or 17 ft
