Looking for some assistance, can anyone help me identify this motor model?

Model # 381061 Serial # W 311 41.
It was advertised as a 140 hp, not sure if it is, and as a 1977, which I know it is not.
It has dual carbs and I am happy with the price I paid and it's condition regardless but knowing HP before pulling it apart to freshen it would be nice.

If you have the answer can you tell me where you got the info from also?

I can't convert your numbers into anything relevant but........

If it's an OMC Sterndrive ........

The last twin, single barrell carb engine was 1973,100 HP

1966 120HP, sub-model of a CU-14D according to an auction on ebay for a parts catalog (found by googleing "OMC Sterndrive" and the number you gave. Hope this helps.

CU, GU, LU, SU, VU Chevy II I-4 153

Useful link as well: http://hhscott.com/evinrude/stringer_models.htm

This site's list confirms they used dual carbs on the Chevy blocked 14D

I wonder if it's the original motor out of my Grew...haha. The slimeball that bought it out from under me after I had put a deposit on it, sold me the hull for $175 after he stripped the motor out to sell. Is it grey? I thought that was odd when I first saw the boat - I had never seen grey on an OMC sterndrive engine before.

hmmmmmmmm
Yes it is Grey. Pulled it out of a POS in Mississauga.
Complete powertrain, engine and electric shift drive. Couldn't go wrong at $400. Put a booster on the dead battery and dropped a few drips of gas into the carbs and it fired up and ran smooth on second crank. I was happy with that!
Even used a tree to hang the chain fall on to pull it out.

kjdkjd gave me the heads up that my engine is infact a 120 based on it having a crank pulley and no damper.
Thank you sir.
