I found this thingy lurking in the lower engine cover wedged under the motor while cleaning. Surely this is the part that if I know where it goes then reinstalling it will make my motor run like new, increase gas mileage and make my investments skyrocket! If I only knew what it was...

Seriously, I don't even think it's part of the motor but I would like to know what it is or what it does. The one end looks like your typical valve stem for a tire. In the middle is a rubber O ring.

Name that part !

No Title

Its part of the cap fro the primer solenoid

Jakedaawg,

The parts diagram shows that part as just a lever without the valve and cap on the end. Whats the use for the valve? I'm thinking I should order one without to replace it.

Any chance I can glue it back in? If I try to put it back in, it's tight and probably wont come out, that is, it probably wont come out until I'm out on the ocean or something.

Just buy a new cap assy. 20$ or less. Couple screws. Easy and done.
