Identify this part....

Trying to figure out what this is....it was attached at the rear of the boat, to the transom. wires running forward...fuses, some spade fittings...and the funny cylindrical thing...(sorry for the technical terms folks, but on the plus side, PICTURES!!!) Any help is appreciated...

Looks like a terminal/fuse block with a start relay (the funny looking cylinder thing).

That looks like a solenoid relay. Small terminals are coil, larger terminals for contacts. Usually used on the starter circuit or trim circuit.
