I have a 1985 Sea Nymph 14R aluminum boat and trailer. I can find no obvious way to identify the hub bearing type or size info anywhere on the hub, bearings or axle. With the exception of the end of the axle which of course is round, the area of the axle between the hubs is square. Someone at an online supplier of trailer parts suggested that I would find identifying info on one side of the hub but it is nowhere to be found.

Can anyone tell me how I can identify the correct replacement bearings for this hub? Attached are a couple of pictures that show both sides of hub and bearings.

no attachment but you will need to remove the bearings - there will be a number stamped on them just take them to the parts store.

I have looked everywhere but can't find any numbers at all on the bearings or hub. Though I did not take out the seal and the inner bearing yet. Perhaps it is on the back of that bearing. I used a digital caliper and the ID is 1" on the outer bearing so I assume the same on the inner bearing.

Looks like you've got the hubs off. Take the old bearings and the hubs to the parts store - they should be able to figure it out.
