Howdy!

Doing a bellows replacement at the moment, and while bolting the alpha one off a part dropped. It looks like a shaft that somehow broke in halve. I have been looking at exploded views for over an hour now and I can't seem to find this part so I was hoping someone here can shine some light on this.

The stupid thing is, I can't exactly remember when it dropped. It was either with seperating the lower from the upper, or the upper from the bell. On the right side it looks like the same opening like on the left side was there, but it broke off. (It's about 7 cm or 2.75 inch long, in it's broken off state)

Oh, the bugger is a 1994 alpha one gen2

Thanks,

Re: Identifying shaft

It looks like a rod for an exhaust flapper. Not a drive part. What engine do you have?

Re: Identifying shaft

I haven't even looked back that far! Thanks for the reply Don. I will check both sides of the Y pipe this week and see if one flapper is missing.

The engine is a 4.3 merc
