Idle adjustments?

Hello,

I have a 1978 Johnson 75HP outboard. It has set orifices. How do I make idle adjustments to it? Also, how do you do a link and sync? I have heard and read it many times but still don't understand how its done. I am not very experienced in this motor stuff but have learned a lot on this site and with a manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

cleaning your carbs, and setting the idle speed to 650-750 in the water and in gear. it will idle faster in neutral. you have to follow the steps in the manual for the link n sinc.

Not to be wise, but that is my question. How do you set the idle speed to that RPM? Where is the adjustment?

idle stop screw on the throttle linkage. i don't have a picture of that vintage.
