AQ260A - idles nice and smooth, even at 600 while setting the timing. However if I'm up on the throttle and close her quickly, sometimes she'll drop to 450 or even die. Suppose I could put in a dashpot - is there anything else to try first?
I wouldn't even try the dashpot thing, you may need/want to go to idle not a high idle with the dashpot. Unlike a car, you don't have breaks to overcome the higher rpm.
