Trying to find the location of these two settings on these carbs. This is on a merc 1500xs inline 6 engine with the three carbs. I have searched and searched and searched for the last three days and i apoligize if i have overlooked it. I feel i could tune the carbs along with the lync and sync if i could only figure out where these screws are. Everybody always talks about them but i havent heard once of there location. Any help would be appreciated. I do have a manual in the mail as we speak but was hoping to play a little before it gets here.

ok well Id say wait for your manual, but if your anxious then start by taking your cowl cover off. then remove the plate that covers your carbs, continue till you expose the front of your carbs and youll see the idle mixture screw.

Heres a schematic example of a carberator (this ones mine) #7 on the list is what the screw will look like.

Justin, The idle mixture screw are the only screw on the carb face. One per carb. The idle speed screw is located on a plate above the distributor, along with the max spark advance screw and throttle stop.
