i also have a '62 Lone Star and so spend some time wallowing in those and their enablers as well. really brings home how much more sophisticated the hull design on these is compared to the LSs, or most other tin boats. the LS is c-r-u-d-e. and in the case of mine, wasn't even built symmetrical at the factory, by about 2". i doubt that one would have made it past QC at SC.

the people here are the class of the field too! thanks to everyone for their input!
