I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the idle tube was for in my 1973 merc 200/20hp.it has the type "b" carb.?this idle tube is located on top right side of carb.
It is a metered tube that pulls fuel from the main discharge area to supply fuel to the idle discharge area that is adjusted by your idle mixture screw. If it is cracked (common problem) it will cause idle and take off problems....
