Hello everyone,
Took my 94 Four Winns 180 out for a spin today. Boat had an almost full tank of ethanol free gas in it when put away. We added stabilizer to the tank for the size of the tank in the fall. Boat fired right up in the driveway.
Boat ran great for an hour, burned about a 1/4 tank of fuel at all speeds. Shut off the boat and floated. Fired back up right away. However, when I put it in gear it will run but rough.
If the throttle is advanced from Idle at all, the boat bogs down and dies both in gear and out of gear with just the throttle.
I took off the fuel filter and poured it into a glass jar, there's no water in the jar.
I put on a new fuel filter and tried starting it again... started great, runs great at idle. As soon as the throttle is advanced it bogs down and dies out.
5.0 ford motor, carburated.
Any suggestions of what to try before I take it in?
Thanks, Jeff
