boat has a 175 hp 4.3 merc v6 / alpha 1. starts and runs good,but when putting it in gear, prop turns.but increasing rpms no response.thanks for youir help

Welcome,
If you mean the motor rpm doesn't increase you will get better help in the I/O forum.
It is likely simply something not hooked up or perhaps a bad shift/throttle cable.

Welcome to iboots.

If the rpm's increase and the boat is not moving........check the prop hub to see if it is spinning. Look up "spun hub" in the forum search.
