If I use coil cleaner to clean my pontoons do i have to wax them after cleaning?

will this stuff mess-up the carpet if it gets on it?

Aluminum is sort of "self protecting" in that it forms an oxidation. If you clean that oxidation using any sort of polish to make the tubes shine, in a short time the oxidation will return to again protect the metal. If you want to keep yourself busy, make your tubes shiny and every few weeks do it all over again. Any product may stain carpet so it is always wise to cover anything you don't want stained and that includes painted surfaces.

Im not planing on shining/ polishing the tubes just looking for the best way to reomve the yellowish water lines from the toons.

if you are talking ac coil cleaner yeah it will ruin the carpet. We use stuff that will eat rubber roofing and burns the skin if it comes in contact with it. I definitely wouldn't use that. I'd try castrol super clean.. you can get it from walmart. It used to be in a purple jug but that may have changed..

be careful with the run off if you do use it, some stuff is toxic
