Hey guys, ive ran into a dilemma with my 94 Suzuki DT40. so i was browsing through the shop manual and found the section with the info about the oil pump linkage adjustment. checked it out on my motor, and the alignment was way off. supposedly, at idle, the mark on the pump lever is supposed to line up with another mark on the pump body. note, the engine ran perfectly fine like this, but being me, i wanted to correct it. so i went about adjusting it till the idle allowed it to line up. the problem is, it cant reach WOT (the butterfly reaching horizontal) because the oil pump's stop limits the throttle arm. i reverted it back to how it was (messed up alignment). is this an error in the assembly of the fuel pump? should i worry about it if its running ok?
