Ok, dream time. If you could have only ONE boat, but could pick anything available... what would you pick?

For me, it would be a Regal 3360 express cruiser. Love those lines and the additional front windows. A lot of folks might pick a bigger cruiser, but IMO I like something manageable, size wise.

A trawler large enough that I could lift my Boston Whaler onto the forward deck. I already have the boat I like, I just need a bigger boat to store it on.

late 80;s bayliner capri or a newer Chapperal.
Not very expensive or fancy but they would suit me just fine.

Have and be able to tow and afford to run? A 17' boston whaler.
If moving and maintenance and running costs were paid for, then a big Nordhavn.

Re: If you could have ANY boat...

I would have a number of them. Most would be under 25', but I could see a houseboat of about 50' too.

The smaller boats would probably include a Boston Whaler, with a pair of ETECs on it, and a selection of classic boats with classic engines. Maybe another Whirlwind (I've owned two), a Thompson lapstrake, a barrelback Chriscraft, etc. A Thompson of about 18', with a pair of '57 ERude Larks or Johnson Javelins would be lots of fun!

Dashew Offshore FPB. Low maintenance, absurdly over-built, very thrifty, excellent seakeeping and ride, and crazy range.
