Hey all
I have a 1973 65hp Evinrude Model 65373r was running fine last weekend. this week go to crank started then ran for about 2 mins then died.here is the symptoms.
Not getting fuel. here is where ive checked. rebuild fuel pump.when I pump the bulb and it is shooting gas through the pump fine.the hose leading to. if I disconnect the center hose from center carb and pump the bulb it squirts fuel from the nipple. also all bowels are bone dry. When I squirt gas into the throttle body of the carbs it cranks first time.. any ideas ? thanks Tom N.E.Ga

If you crank it with the fuel line disconnected from the outlet side of pump does fuel squirt out? If it does check floats, needles and seats in carbs.

it will crank with out the fuel line hooked up only if you squirt gas into the carbs but only for a few sec`s until the gas runs out.

There is a difference between cranking and running. I assume you mean engine runs when you squirt fuel into carb throats. If you were to disconnect the fuel lines from the carbs, turn engine over useing starter "crank it over", will fuel come out of disconnected fuel lines? If so then your needle, seats and floats need to be inspected.

true it will run when you put gas into the carb openings. I just disconnected the 3 gas lines going to the carbs and trying to crank it squirts gas from the center carb fuel line nipple. I just uploaded a couple vids showing the problem.
